Wild Weekend – WARNINGS issued!

Good evening. Bronagh is currently affecting the UK. Heavy rain has been the main feature across the north with further rain forecast for the coming few hours. Many flood warnings have been issued as river levels continue to rise in the north midlands, northern England and Wales. Some places could clock up over 3 inches of rain by the time this storm pushes away tomorrow.

Winds will be fairly strong across England and Wales tonight, in the south early on but a particularly nasty spell of gale force winds will affect northern England and North Wales, into Lincolnshire into the early hours. 60mph possible.  All eyes are then on Sunday for the potential for the next storm. Which may be named “Callum”.

This storm is unusual as it could produce gale force north easterly winds which have the potential to produce STORM SURGE on the east coast. It may also produce widespread gales this time targetting southern counties of England and Wales:

Keep a close eye on updates for Sunday. It could be a very nasty day in the south but there are room for changes in the storm’s track however.
