We all have that one person who puts up their decorations earlier and looks a right idiot, right? Well, think again.
Ground breaking research actually suggests that people who put up their Christmas decorations FIRST are actually the happier ones, and the other ones are more likely to be picked for a role in Scrooge. The research comes suggesting that people who put their decorations up earlier are better able to entertain themselves into an elevated mood.
“We all have that one boring uncle who doesn’t have any Christmas decorations up even on Christmas eve, so just use him as an example” – researchers said.
Don’t go too overboard though, putting too many Christmas lights up can risk you looking like the onion, and can also risk sabotaging your reputation in your neighborhood.
One man in Manchester, UK, was arrested for his bell end decorations last year. So we recommend keeping them family friendly AND acceptable, and sticking to a “Minimum yet pleasant” amount of decorations.
