Grandfather Sam McKeeder had attempted to rescue the little boy after he was dragged out to sea at Black Rock Sands, North Wales, shortly after 2.30pm.
Later, Sam McKeeder, a builder from Towyn, was able to recover the little boy who was left unconscious. He said “He was totally unconscious, I turned him around and patted him on his back and then a lot of water and sick came up, and he started breathing again.”
The 6 year old boy has now been air lifted to hospital in North Wales.
