The latest winter prediction which joins a long line of The Farmers Almanac, which is pointing to well below average temperatures, the DWP winter forecast, and of course our winter forecast here at severe weather updates 2018, which is calling for a very cold winter in the north east. The interesting thing is that ours, The Farmers Alamac’s and TWC’s winter forecast is going for a much colder one in the north and east of the U.S, but milder conditions in the west. This is a typical El Nino signature. Low sunspot numbers will also help reduce the speed of the jet stream and allow cold air to “sink” south, quite like it did over the past week, into the north east of the states. Here’s the temperature forecast from TheWeatherChannel. You can access their update here.
