HUK

What is the HUK? The HUK is an implementation of advanced downscaling algorithmns using 500m resolution surface data: elevation, land cover, light pollution. It uses 2km resolution Harmonie data as a base. The Harmonie is a leading European model produced by the KNMI. It offers the 2km resolution needed to identify local variability and small-scale features. Algorithmns downscale the data to a resolution of 1km, capturing even more local phenomenon.
