Our thoughts are with all people involved during this challenging time.

A 5 year old girl, who recently recovered from Covid-19, is currently suffering in hospital from “Kawasaki” disease. The disease is an inflammatory response. The NHS gives the following definition for the disease:

Kawasaki disease is a condition that mainly affects children under the age of 5. It’s also known as mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome. The characteristic symptoms are a high temperature that lasts for 5 days or more, with: a rash. swollen glands in the neck.” More info – NHS website.

Piers Roberts, the child’s father, states that her daughter contracted Covid-19 before the lockdown, and described her daughter as fit and well before the lockdown. He also states that he’s appalled at the decision to begin the phased reopening of schools on June 1st.
