Many residents of coastal towns & districts, especially on the south coast of England, have been left disgusted over the disgraceful amount of rubbish left over in the past few days.
Residents in Bournemouth & Brighton woke up to “Bags of rubbish” spewed around the beach resort and defecation in the town.
Terrible to see visitors leaving rubbish on Barafundle beach – it's a beautiful, wild beach with no bins or rubbish collectors. If they can carry it to the beach why can't they carry it away? So selfish & disrespectful of our amazing coastline. @PembsCoast @nationaltrust pic.twitter.com/sIjs4QhrMX

One volunteer in Bournemouth said people have been “traumatised” by the rubbish and vandalism left in the town. ‘There’s poo and soiled wet wipes everywhere and behind every corner it absolutely stinks. ‘Is the beach at Durdle Door a public toilet or just an open sewer? The caves are vile, people are filthy and this beach is a public health hazard.’
