A significant storm system is forecast to affect the British Isles tomorrow, Tuesday 25th August 2020.
It’s very rare to experience storms of such magnitude in August in Britain. Tomorrow’s storm is more akin to something typical for December, January or February. Nontheless, some quite severe conditions are possible for a time in places. Winds are expected to increase in the south west during Tuesday morning before reaching severe gale force by late morning across southern Ireland, SW England and Wales. Here, gusts up to 75mph are possible.
