A car struck a crowd in Stoke Newington, London, this morning.
A significant police response was sparked. Pedestrians witnessed the car mounting the pavement at roughly 9.36am this morning, hitting several pedestrians whilst doing so, and traveling at a considerable speed.
A significant emergency service response was called to the scene, with these images posted to twitter earlier.
Reports from on-site state that 4 have been seriously injured, and have been taken to a major trauma centre. Another individual has been injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
London Metropolitan police stated that this is “not being treated as a terror-related incident, however investigations are ongoing”. No further arrests have been made at this time.
