The UK Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, has that all non essential travel must be avoided across the UK with only essential travel – for example purchasing of essential food and essential medicine from the pharmacy now permitted. He also stated that 1 form of exercise per day is permitted. Travelling to and from work is also permitted – where absolutely necessary. However, social gatherings must be avoided. These measures are essential to preventing the spread of this virus.
Boris Johnson also states that police force will take appropriate measures if these rules are not adhered to. This includes enforcing of fines and further measures.
