Campsite closes as staycationers dump gazeboos, airbeds, tens and rubbish

Last week, visitors to a campsite in Cumbria left “mounds of rubbish”, gazeboos, airbeds, and tents. It is also reported that the visitors played loud music into the early hours of the morning, completely ignoring campsite rules and showing a disregard for other campsite visitors.

The Stonethwaite Campsite, in the Borrowdale Valley, announced the news on Sunday onto their Facebook page. It is reported that the site will need to close for at least a few weeks to clear the sheer mess left behind.
