Early Season Snow Storm to target North Next Week, Early WARNING Issued

Through tonight snowfall will intensify over the far north of New Mexico, far north of Texas, and through Monday wet, moderate snowfall of 0.25-0.50″ per hour will affect the far north of Texas, much of Oklahoma, and eventually southern Missouri through Monday evening.

Snow totals will be quite high across the southern Rockies into Texas through Monday (4-9″), less through southern Illinois, Indiana and much of Ohio through Monday night, but through Tuesday morning the snow totals will pep up through upstate NY and into Quebec, rain along coastal counties though, and about 200 miles in land. Snow will fall 50-100 miles North West of Albany.

Overnight into Tuesday very heavy rain will affect the south east and Mid Atlantic with a risk of flooding through Alabama, Georgia and into the Carolinas. Meanwhile snowfall will affect areas above 200m elevation for the far south of Illinois, southern Indiana and much of Ohio, by Monday evening 2-4″ will have fallen widely here in higher elevations. More wet snow / sleet below 200m/600ft. The system will begin to move quite quicky up the eastern side of the U.S through Tuesday, giving further very heavy rainfalls to Southern Virginia and Southern Maryland. By Tuesday afternoon the snow will have tracked up Lake Erie, North West PA, Upstate NY and into northern Maine, Quebec Canada. Here up to 8″ of snow is possible above 300m (1000ft) elevation. The storm will pass into North East Quebec and Newfoundland late Tuesday, allowing for a shot of very cold air into the mid west and great lakes.
