Burst of Summer looming for next week

A change in the weather on the way!

An early burst of summer-like conditions looks to be on the cards for next week. An area of high pressure is forecast to gather across Europe this weekend and build westwards towards the UK by the start of next week. The upside is that the UK is affected by a southerly airstream through next week delivering warmer than average temperatures during Monday, April 6th and Tuesday, April 7th next week! 20C is looking likely in the South East.

Temperatures here are unlikely to be balmy, certainly no heatwave, but a welcome burst of late Spring / early Summer type weather for a couple of days is definitely possible. Temperatures may reach 20 or 21C in the sunshine in the south, whilst temperatures look to reach 15-17C in the North. At present, Monday and Tuesday look most likely to reach these temperatures, with a possible break-down to something a little more unsettled later next week, but still fairly mild with temperatures in the mid teens.
